George,
I should add, at this point, that I love, LOVE, LOVE power typing, and I wouldn't for a moment want you to do anything that could break it.
OK?

I'm trying to not break any existing stuff, if you never issue a (TabBNDS) primtive nothing should change.

Stefan: Robert: I had another look at this DataDelete and DataBackspace with TabsBNDS. Took a stab at it and I THINK I got it to sort-of work.
BUT - I'm going to yank it. While testing (or attempting to) I was constantly sitting there and thinking to myself "Is that correct? Is that what it's supposed to do? What did that just do?" Basically every key I pressed was a mystery, sort of a "let's see what THIS does"
If I can't remember what's correct and what's not after just pouring intimately through the code, then I'll A) never be able to document it and B) probably never be able to maintain it.
And based on that, I doubt any normal user would be able to effectively make any use of them.
Throwing OVR & INS modes and TabBNDS together is tough, adding DIN mode gets worse, and adding DataDelete and DataBackSpace in there is just too much. Never mind the wrinkles that having a block of text selected adds in. It's too much, not just for me, but I believe for everybody.

George,
Please allow me to give you some sincere, heartfelt advice I learned through (literally) decades of experiencing it firsthand, so I am absolutely certain it is true:
If you are the programmer, and even YOU don't understand what the code does, it IS wrong.

Well, I ignored those two for a while, and went on with a couple other associated ones. And confusing as testing can be with so many modes, I think they're correct, and leaving them out would leave a logical 'hole' in the ommand set. So they're back in.

Stefan: I know it's the holiday season, but I'd sure like your feedback on the latest Beta.

George,
Sorry - been out of it for a while. I shall get onto it ASAP. I should have some time today and tomorrow before family start to arrive for Christmas (and Cath tells me I'm not to spend my time locked away on the computer!)
