OK, I got it. I made a new keyboard device driver called UK_ANSI. Here's what it does: 1. Outside of SPFLite, the keys work the same as the UK keyboard. I added a couple of extra altgr keys so you could type Spanish if you wanted. 2. Inside SPFLite, when you use KEYMAP, the VK codes are basically the same as the US ANSI is. 3. The key next to the left \| key is now on VK_OEM_102, and cannot be KEYMAP'd but works normally. 4. The key under ESC is now the same key as the US ANSI, but its default internal mappings are the same as the UK keyboard. That means, in SPFLite, if you want to use your keyboard to agree with the keycaps, you need the keys to be keymapped to (PassThru). That includes the AltGr keys, which are on Ctrl Alt and Ctrl Alt Shift. 5. The #~ key next to Enter is the same as the US \| key for keymap purposes. Here is the install file. Give it a try. R KbdEditInstaller_UK_ANSI.zip (657.16 KB)

Robert,
Thank you, I'll give it a try.
The current driver definition is just a "keyboard.inf" file. I see yours is an EXEcutable so I have a some questions.
- What will it do?
- How would I return to the previous driver?
Thanks.

Stefan,
1. What will it do? It will create a new windows device driver. To select it, you should see a name on the task bar that says UK_ANSI. You have to select it each time you use it, unless you set it as the default.
Note: When you first install the driver, you may not see the UK_ANSI on the taskbar. There is a delay until you next restart or logout/login to Windows before it will show up.
2. How do you disable it? If it's on, press Win+space bar. Holding the Win key, press spacebar until the desired keyboard is highlighted, then let go of the Win key. Your standard driver (English - United Kingdom) will always still be there, it does NOT get removed.
