After some primary commands (CUT is an example) RFIND fails with the message "No prior search values to use".
Before the CUT command, RFIND was working fine!
Curiously, other primary commands, like PASTE, don't have this effect.

Peter: Robert: Well, believe it or not, I detected this same problem and found the error just today. So it will be in the next release. It's caused by our old friend, the common search routine, which is also used by many of the file write functions. It temporarily modifies the search criteria, but unfortunately was not restoring things as it should have.

Hi
Did this get fixed, then unfixed? RFIND value being destroyed by CUT is still apparent in 8.5.7156
Thanks

Hmmm, looks like I will have to cast my mind back a couple years to recall just what I found and supposedly fixed.
