Hello and thank you for your great product!
I am a programmer for almost 40 year and majority of my experience is IBM.
But in today's world the usage of your great product is limited in compare to standard programming languages editors.
I would like to offer a few suggestions to close this gap:
1. Please add the horizontal and vertical scroll bars to the editor window. Going F7/F8 thru the long code is too slow and too annoying.
2. Please add the common Windows shortcuts such as:
Ctrl+PageUp ant Ctrl+PageDown for quick navigation to the 1st and last bytes of text
Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X, Ctrl+V for cut/paste
Ctrl+F for quick find
Ctrl+Z for undo
etc, etc, etc...
3. Please add common mouse commands, for example, a context menu on the right click with the common cut, paste, undo, redo, etc. functions
I understand that there are corresponding primary or line commands for everything above, but don't you agree that Ctrl+F is the quickest way to find a string compare to multiple ISPF keystrokes: "Press Home, type F string, press Enter" ?
In today's world windows shortcuts are already imprinted in everybody's mind and you are pressing Ctrl+F to find or Ctrl+Z to undo before you even think about it.
Another words, please merge the common windows editing commands with the classical ISPF commands.
Pure ISPF commands were good when we had only 3270 with 24x80 resolution.
This is no longer a case.
Instead of fixed SCREEN today we are using the flexible windows.
Microsoft spent tons of money and resources discovering the most efficient ways to navigate and edit in these windows.
So, why to stick with the outdated classical ISPF world?
Let incorporate the modern technologies into it!
This makes your product more flexible and more powerful.
