Steve: Thanks for your efforts, all clues are useful. I'll have a look at how the keyboard tables are loaded at start up and how it's done after KEYMAP. maybe there's something there.

I still have this issue regularly. Ctrl-C just does not work immediately. As Jo wrote this is seen by not unmarking the marked area, so I just press Ctrl-C several times until the area to be copied is no longer highlighted.

It only happens with spflite. In the meantime I got a different PC (HP notebook) and it happens with the internal and any external keyboard.

Manfred: We never resolved this a couple years ago. And any testing I did today always worked just fine (for me).
Please send me your CFG file so I can test using your exact configuration.

George, sent to support@SPFLite.com.
But don't worry if you don't find a solution...

No sign of it yet, I'll keep my eyes open. George
[UPDATE]
Seems somehow my hosting site "lost" the automatic forwarding of support@SPFLite.com. Had to re-establish it.
Working OK now. Wonder how many other emails I've missed since it 'went away'?
Got your CFG file and swapped it in. Of course Ctrl-C works flawlessly, I can't get a failure. This is ridiculous.
I'll keep playing with it, but I was sure hoping your CFG would have some combination of settings that would trigger the error.
I'll keep you informed.

Thanks for trying to reproduce it. It's really strange. It happens randomly, often the first time, when I use it again after a while. When I then try to reproduce it, it often works fine several times.
Maybe you can try the following:
1. Double click on a word, it then should be highlighted with a black background 2. Press Ctrl-C 3. If the black background remains, you got it. The highlighted word has not been copied to the clipboard (May still already be there from previous attempts.) 4. Else goto 1.
Repeat at least 10 times. IMPORTANT: Don't keep the ctrl-key pressed while doubleclicking. If you do this, the issue will not occur.

Manfred: I can double click and Ctrl-C dozens and dozens of time without a failure. Truly mysterious.

Manfred, on my mouse configuration in SPFLite, my right button is set to (CopyPaste) The way this function works, when there is highlighted text, it acts as Copy, and if there isn't it acts like Paste. That behavior mimics what Windows does in a Command Line window. Try using that instead of Ctrl-C. See if it makes a difference. Nice, thanks for this suggestion! There is always something new to detect in SPFLite! :-)

Manfred: I can double click and Ctrl-C dozens and dozens of time without a failure. Truly mysterious. George George, I may have just solved this mystery. I've selected / marked the checkbox "Allow key combination to repeat". A quick test seems to indicate that the problems is gone. I have set it for Ctrl-v (paste) as well, without negative side effect. There is no repeated insert even if I keep ctrl-v pressed for a while.

Manfred: Weird, I have Allow Repeat cleared (not ticked). I can't explain it - but whatever works, use it. Some things we'll never fully explain.
