mueh: Tried it with RETRIEVE, CRETRIEV and RETF. All seem to be working fine here. (9014 version, I didn't try older ones, it really doesn't help much)

George: I did some more test and i think i know when it doesn't fail . first issue RESET RETRIEVE ( not necessary ) in Edit Tab in FM issue for SPFLite Source Path FF gCmdRtrev 5 Files satiesfied search PFK12 results in CRETRIEV no saved RETRIEVE commands available If you issue now FF XgCmdRtrev results in no files matched search and cmd remains on cmd line . Remove now the X and enter the cmd . it get's stacked to RETRIEVE cmd Array and PF12 Shows it . Above screen shot is after first PFK12 is hit Thanks George

Mueh: OK, using your example, I can get some weird results as well. Retrieve was always weird, especially after we added the RETF command to clutter the logic up. I had a quick browse of the code to refresh my brain as to what's going on. Now my head hurts.
I'll try and get time to give it a thorough review. It might be easier to just re-write it so I understand what's happening.

[Update] Been reviewing code (actually cleaned up some as I plowed through it) but couldn't see anything blatantly wrong. Just tried your specific example above and after doing the FF gCmdRtrev search, a RETRIEVE properly brought back the FF command.
I'm stumped as to why the results are not consistent.
