Hi,
The primary command EXIT performs an END command on each active tab.
Is there an option (or a command) which performs a CANCEL command on each active tab?
Best Regards Jonas

Jonas: No there isn't a CANCEL ALL primary command. Best I can think of is to go to FM, select the Open files display and enter C on each line.

1. For me, a CANCEL ALL at the primary command line of the filemanager would be great. I don't need more.
2. You mentioned the command SAVEALL. It does not work with my version 8.1.4230: I have directory with two files: l1.dat and l2.dat (The dat-INI-files has option: ON NOPROMPT) spflite *.* FM gets opened e l1.dat (and I delete 2 lines) e l2.dat (and I delete 2 lines) Switch to l1.dat command line: saveall When I check the files with Windows Explorer, they are still unchanged. (The command SAVE works ok)

Jonas: You are having fun locating bugs aren't you? Yes, SAVEALL is crippled. It happened as part of the V8 restructuring. Corrected now, I will send you a corrected version as I did before.

What is the current state of this issue ?
For me, a CANCEL ALL at the primary command line of the filemanager would be great. I don't need more.

Jonas: Yes, it sort of got lost didn't it? Ill put this in as an extension to EXIT
i.e. EXIT syntax will be EXIT [NOREOPEN] [ END | CANCEL [ DELETE | PURGE ] ] (and the usual abbreviations of CAN DEL etc.)

Robert: I do not like just throwing away commands because they look illogical in context. CANCEL is an error in FM just like CHANGE, or CREATE etc. would be. The user wanted to do do SOMETHING, just throwing his command away would be just like saying "Yup! did what you wanted!" when whatever he actually DID want to do has not been done. He certainly made an error of some kind, what's wrong with telling him so?

Jonas: OK, completed. The updated EXIT command will be available in the next release.
