George,
v2.7.22344
Do I misunderstand this, or is it a bug?
The documentation for picture strings says P'&' Any character defined in the WORD setting. A span of P'&' characters would be a "user-defined word". I have a profile that tells me =WORD> A-Z a-z 0-9 _ $
But if I issue say FIND P'&' it does not find any '_' or '$' characters in the text.

Stefan: Yes, just yesterday I found an old ongoing similar problem with the (WordLeft) and (WordRight) KB primitives. It was, of course a Table problem, from long ago. My bet is it's all wrapped up together. The problem is caused by there being the Profile WORD string and another one (Called CHARSET) that is also in play. I'm going to have to figure out how to sort this out.
WORD is supposed to be used for edit WORD matching, the CHARSET version is used for determining printable characters. It's a very muddled area right now. And complicated as well by the English Only (Y/N) in Options -> General. Basically - too many tables.
Going to be fun straightening it all out.
George
[UPDATE] Just started looking at this, my yesterday fix must be working since with my latest version, it works fine.
Still checking out things, it's a confusing area.
