Nic: Some weeks ago I had a similar requirement in testing my REXX while in Edit. In addition, I needed a defined current directory and special path (for subroutines). My solution was the "RunA"-Macro (Run async), which starts RunA.Bat to setup the path etc and start REXX. Extensible for other filetypes.
RunA.Macro is in the Macros-directory, RunA.Bat in the SPFLITE INI-Folder. Maybe you find it useful: RunA.Macro (1.59 KB) RunA.Bat (642 B)
