So I created a bat file and downloaded the dosbat.auto file into documents/spflite/auto/colorize then brought up my bat file and on command line typed hilite auto on but nothing happened...sure its user error here but not sure what I did wrong since doc looks straight forward. thx steve

sromes1: My bet is that you have not set up any different color schemes. Enter OPTION SCHEMES and I'll bet that all your colour schemes are set to the same color (that's what a default SPFLite install does)
Look in your BAT.AUTO file and check the WORD entries. Each has a number as the first operand. That number tells colorize what SCHEME to use to display it. Those SCHEME numbers are displayed in OPTIONS SCHEME. Simply alter the SCHEME colors to YOUR preferences.

You said "in my bat.bat" -- the file should be called BAT.AUTO and it should be located in \Documents\SPFLite\AUTO\
All colorize files are xxx.AUTO where the XXX is the filetype (in your case - BAT) thus BAT.AUTO If you browse a typical \AUTO folder you will see files like: BAT.AUTO TXT.AUTO BAS.AUTO HTML.AUTO etc etc.

sorry meant to type bat.auto and its in \Documents\SPFLite\AUTO\ so wonder if its looking in the wrong ini file I updated schemes in spflite.ini but when I check on my profiles I don't see spflite.ini only default, auto,do, pgn, macro, txt and spm. probably a stupid question but figured I would ask

sromes1: Looking back at your screen shot, you are on version 10.1.9014, the current version is 11.0.19235, so for starters, lets get you updated to the latest version at least. Can you please download it from the website and install it please?
Then at least we'll be looking at apples and apples.

attached latest screen shots, got the same results using prev bat.auto and time.bat files my batch file but I've feel I've wasted enough of your time so I'll try to start from scratch but not hopeful...doing the same thing and expecting different results comes to mind...but thx btw the download page has the new version labeled SPFLite V11.0.19227 not 11.0.19235, You may download the latest version of the program at this site by using this link: SPFLite V11.0.19227 Please note: If you are upgrading to a new release of SPFLite, there is NO need to uninstall your current running release; in fact, to do so will probably cause you to lose your current customization settings. Simply run the new installer. Attachments:

just curious if others on this board have used the colorization schemes, don't want to bother the admins ...they have enough to do, but if anyone has would you mind uploading a the auto and file it controls so I can see if I can atleast get those to work. I tried both cobol and bat files and guess I spflite challenged...or challenged in general..thx
