George,
Thank you. v21099 now sorts the Path column as I would have expected.
But I'm sorry to report that the fix messed up the NAME sort, which is likely to annoy more folks than just me.
Using the same input data, just sort the result by Name, cycling through the +, -, * and . options.
Especially the NAME+ and NAME- sorts are now incorrect.
Maybe back off the fix and tackle it another time, if you wish to release v2.4
In case you're wondering what on earth I'm up to, I am trying to build an FLIST which will contain multiple Path entries.
But I do not necessarily want to see all files in all folders, nor all sub-directories for each path that has some.
For some paths I just want to see files.
In others I may want to see some selected (but not all) sub-directories. e.g.
I want to see the files in C:\Commands\CLIST\ plus the \INCLUDE\ sub-directory name, but not the C:\Commands\CLIST\$BACKUP directory entry, nor its files.
For yet others I may just be happy to click my way down the tree.
I know This is doable by adding approritae path entries with the right \,\\,\\\ endings.
But the sequence in which the entries are displayed is critical if it is to be useful.
I need to be able to tell to which path each sub-directory or file belongs, and tell any with the same name apart.
The alternative is a number of separate FLISTS - not attractive.
The Recent Path FLIST wasn't a million miles away except that
(a) it doesn't contain any FILE entries
(b) it insists on showing ALL sub-directories for every path and, most annoyingly
(c) it kept changing and being polluted by one-off stuff I had looked at just once.
