Hi, In view of the enhanced HELP searching ability in the last release, I was toying with the idea of merging the Macros Help file into the main Help file to take advantage of the enhanced search.
Thoughts? Good/Bad idea? Neutral?

Robert: OK, I will not be doing any major revisions/restructuring. If I do this, it will be enough of an effort to figure out how to structure the Topic ID and then edit them and possibly their topic titles (all 160+ of them)
And then transfer them all over to the main help.
Yes many of the functions only have a few lines, but many have some significant amount of text, I don't think dumping these into a table format like KB Primitives will work. Besides, then we're back to having to scroll, scroll, scroll to find the function you want. Invoking help can only be done at the Topic level. If all the functions were back in one table, there would only be one Topic ID at which to open.
So no matter how nice it might be to restructure it all, this will just be a merge. Unless you have some specific areas that could be done without major effort.

Robert: OK, I've upgraded to the latest HnD 7.4.0.390, and all my HnD files were opened properly without any migration needed. So if you go to that release, we should be fine. You can get the latest HnD from the SOURCE file available online, or I can email it directly.
There's no hurry, I intended this to be a background filler task anyway.

Robert: OK, after a struggle with HnD as far as merging documents, I now have a single consolidated Help file that now has the previous Macros Help file embedded within it. And I've managed to tweak the internal utility that massages all the help data into some KW lookup data. It had to be altered to handle embedded _ characters (HnD allows basically NO special characters within a TopicID) and to handle KWDs with $ (same problem with HnD). Attached is the new version and the matching CHM file to try out. NOTE: This version also contains the revised STATE handling logic, which is upward compatible only, so I'd advise you to only open this SPFLite version for testing the HELP command only. Unless of course you really want to play with what will be the next full release. George Because of the CHM size, I can't make it an attachment, so here are links to the download www.spflite.com/files/SPFLite.CHMwww.spflite.com/files/SPFLite25.EXE
