Hi, I'll be away till Jun 3rd, on a cruise ship. So I probably won't be checking in often.

Basically just got back, after the most horrendous travel day we have ever experienced.
We were booked on United out of Newark to Toronto at 2:45 PM yesterday. We finally got into the airport limo to get home from Toronto to Burlington at about 6:15 AM today.
Newark airport was a total and utter zoo, lineups galore in the terminal of people trying to rebook cancelled flights. We were sort of lucky, only 2 cancelled bookings, 6 gate changes (chosen by a sadist for maximum walking distance to the new gate), bugs in United's app, which informed us of new booked flight numbers, but those numbers aren't on the departure boards. Misinformed instructions when the flights were cancelled, and on and on.
We finally take off at 2:30 AM (delayed by no baggage handlers to load the luggage) and arrive in Toronto at 4:00, and guess what, Customs and Immigration shut down every day between 4:00AM and 5:00 AM, so we sit on the plane for another hour. Finally get off and go for our checked bags. Missing! Have to create a lost bag ticket.
All of this with me trying to hobble along on my bum legs. At one point we 'liberated' a wheelchair and Linda pushed me around as we hustled from gate to ticketing to security to gate etc. (and TSA gets a 100% grade in the category 'I don't give a cr*p about helping you catch your flight, in fact I'm going to throw every roadblock I can in your path"
It was certainly a memorable day.
