I had a directory with a .PNG file. I wanted to be able to open the file inside FM. I click on the file, and I get the message about it's an unknown file type, and the popup gives me a bunch of choices. I click on the button for "Cancel and Mark OpenW".
But, if I click on the same PNG file again, I get the same warning, and the file is still not opened.
BTW, opening a PNG on my system opens up the Microsoft Office Picture Manager. If I issue a W line command, it opens correctly with the picture manager.
After all that, here is the Non-Text File list, where PNG should appear. But, PNG is not in the list:
BKP,CFG,CHM(W),CHW,CI,DLL,DLX,DOC(W),DOCX(W),EXE,EX_,HND,ICO,ILK,INL,KBE,LNK(W),LOG,MACLIB,MHT,MP3(W),MP3.LNK(W),OBJ,PDB,PDF(W),RC,RES,SLN,SPC,SPR,SPS,SUO,UNICODE,URL,XML,X_TXT,ZIP
Did I do something wrong, or did I misunderstand this?
The issue appears both in the release version 23.088 and the recent beta 23.154

Robert: Big Oops. It was being added to the DEFAULT SHR list (Options -> General). Till the next Beta, just add it manually.

OK, I was able to copy the lists into the clipboard and use CLIP edit to split them apart, SORT UNIQ and correct the entries, and paste them back in. The default and non-text lists are now working correctly.
Thank you for your assistance.
