I have a SET ALIAS for finding blank lines, defined just way the Help NFIND section describes it:
SET ALIAS.FBLANK = "NFIND P'^'"
If I use FBLANK TOP, it appears that the TOP part is being ignored. The behavior of FBLANK is identical, whether TOP is present or not.
Further testing shows that a command of
NFIND "ABC" TOP
without the SET ALIAS will not move the file to the 'top' where a line NOT containing ABC is found either.
So, the issue is not in finding blank or null lines, nor the use of a '^' or '¬' picture, nor the use of a SET ALIAS, but that NFIND is ignoring the TOP operand.

Robert: Hmmm, yes, NFIND seems to have never really supported TOP properly.
Corrected. In the next Beta as I just released 23253 officially today.

I have confirmed that 23.254 beta has corrected the NFIND issue. Now, the FBLANK TOP works as it should.
Thanks for finding and fixing this so quickly.
