GET_PROFILE$ is supposed to return the string value of the named Profile item.
However, GET_PROFILE$("MACLIB") returns a null string, whether if the current value of MACLIB is NONE or some other value.
It appears that getting the MACLIB setting simply doesn't work. It ought to be returning the 'xxx' part of the set name MACLIB.xxx as I understand it.
I believe if the profile shows MACLIB NONE, GET_PROFILE$("MACLIB") should return NONE, unless I am misunderstanding this, or otherwise whatever the MACLIB field is displaying. To get the path of the given macro library, you'd need to fetch the set string as "MACLIB." + GET_PROFILE$("MACLIB") if it isn't NONE.

Another Oops. I've added MACLIB to return NONE or the proper name.
