George,
I very often wish to trim trailing blanks in a file. My standard way of doing this has been to put TR/ as a line command in line 1. In release 23.313, this doesn't seem to work. I now get a message, Cannot use / \ modifier on line command - line 000001
In beta 23.301, no error appears, and the command works properly.

Robert: Well, the line command table was incorrect for that one (and a couple others) so I've fixed it(them).
Nothing has been changed in that table for ages, so if it worked in prior releases, then you must have used TRR/TRR or TRnnn.

No, I only used TR/ just like that. Never use TRR/TRR because TR/ is so much easier. I checked the beta 23.301 and TR/ works fine. I think somehow, you changed the line command table very recently (maybe by accident?).

Robert: Accidentally? I doubt it, it's not exactly easy to accidentally modify stuff like this without royally mucking things up:
'- Cmnd Ix R # T K +/- \/ RF PC BR DATA "BB ", 999, Y, Y, D, N, Y, N, Y, N, N ' BB Block DATA "TR ", 27, N, Y, I, N, N, Y, Y, Y, N ' Trim Line DATA "TRR ", 27, Y, Y, I, N, N, N, N, N, N ' Trim Line DATA "PL ", 28, N, Y, I, N, N, Y, Y, Y, N ' Pad Line DATA "PLL ", 28, Y, Y, I, N, N, N, N, N, N ' Pad Line DATA "TL ", 29, N, Y, I, N, Y, Y, Y, Y, N ' Truncate Line DATA "TLL ", 29, Y, Y, I, N, Y, N, N, N, N ' Truncate Line DATA "SCC ", 16, Y, N, I, N, Y, N, N, N, N ' Sentence case
So it's fixed, I'm not going back now to see why it worked in a previous version.
