We've just posted the latest release on the SPFLite web site (www.SPFLite.com).
This release contains a variety of enhancements and bug fixes. Full details are available on the Change Log page of the SPFLite website.
There is totally new support available for the CHANGE command which provides some powerful new functions for modifying the located string. To assist this, we have also replaced the previous Regular Expression engine with a much more capable one. We have chosen to use PCRE (Perl Compatible Regular Expressions) engine; this is a widely used, recognized engine.
Unfortunately, changes in this release have uncovered a problem isolated to XP systems only. There is some incompatibility with the levels of Visual C runtime libraries, and we have not been able to overcome them. So this new release will not function on XP systems. We recommend any XP users remain on the 8.2.5179 release. We will keep this 8.2 release available on the download page indefinitely.
In addition, as of this release, we have decided to stabilize SPFLite and not undertake any new large enhancement projects. We will continue to maintain and support SPFLite, and will respond to any bug reports (and maybe even small enhancements - make them interesting enough).
