I am trying out a macro to do a FIND based on the cursor position or a highlighted area. I plan to publish it here when I have made it work, but for the moment I have a problem with the Get_Curr_line$ function. If a data line has initial blanks they are not included in the string that is returned by the function. My macro works correctly as long as there are no initial blanks, but fails when there are. The reason is the omission of the leading blanks. Would you have a look at this, please.
I found out I can avoid the problem by replacing Get_Curr_Line$ with Get_Line$(Get_Csr_Lptr). It seems that Get_Line$ functions correctly.
I also found another problem right now:
If I select an area consisting of more than one line using the arrow keys, the Get_Select_First_LPtr and Get_Select_Last_LPtr functions both point to the last line selected.
Another potential problem is that it is not possible to select more than one line by selecting with the mouse. But maybe that is intentional to avoid selecting too much inadvertantly?
(I hope you donĀ“t mind all my writing today!)

Len: I'll check out the macro stuff. Being able to select multiple lines is also dependent on one of the options.
See Options -> General -> Allow 2-D mouse selection without Shift/Ctrl/Alt?
I suspect that setting is what's doing you in.
I'll get back to you on the macro stuff, you may have found some undetected bugs. Gee! who'd suspect THAT? ;-))

Len: Now corrected, it will be in the upcoming fix release.
