OK, I'm asking for feedback (again). Attached is a DOC file of "where I'm at", maybe it will trigger some feedback. George File Manager Changes.doc (426 KB)

Robert.
Why not just "Filter'? I don't think anyone has any doubts about what it's for.
Last reference I added because I needed it for the Recent lists, where the data IS the last referenced date. The problem then became "what goes in the field for the non-Recent types?" So I copied the directory data, even though it's crap. Nobody ever has to actually USE the field.
Config: I thought it was already Config, I'll check for the other mis-spelling.
MODE: Well, this was from your complaint about 'what is Paths for, what's the context of the reference, etc, etc.' So it tells you when and what triggered the reference to the Path or File. You can't ask for context and then question it when provided.
Yes, on my own I can churn out a lot of stuff. The problem is that without feedback it can just be a load of ...

Yes, nice work. I will like it, namely the FileTree listing, the NewFilterMask and the Pathname display. But I'll miss the (11.a) Exclude lines (X) feature. I often use it to tailor the display before doing a MAKELIST. And yes, I'm willing to test any Beta-release.

Jo: I should have a Beta very soon. I removed the [X] as it 'collided' with some of the new stuff. I guess you'll have to do the MakeList and then edit it to remove unwanted stuff. Sorry, I hadn't considered that use of X.

George: I also miss the X function since i use the X cmd in FM in a Macro with f.e. following parameters MI nx 21016 210126 FMPCmd to exclude all files where the 3 string's are not found in full file name . Requires no creation of an additional sub-filelist . here a sample output of above cmd

OK guys, I'll see if the X command can be put back somehow.
