Robert: I don't know of any changes that would have invalidated the mapping code, it was inserted in a pretty compartmentalized manner.
Being honest, I think you just made it too capable, of doing almost anything imaginable. And to describe it all, that takes words, lots and lots of words. Haven't looked, but I'd bet there's 20-30 subtopics in the Help file.
And I think that just scared off new users.
If you're sure, then yanking it is not a problem. It seems a shame, I felt somewhat the same years ago when I yanked out the FTP support.
The code is always there in the previous version archives.

Robert:
Yes, maybe E macros should go as well, macro support has improved a lot.
BTW I use FTP regularly, that's how everything gets uploaded to the Web Site. But then DOpus makes it easy, like a two panel File Explorer, I just Open the FTP site in one panel and the local data in the other and copy them across just as if they were local folders.
Lets see if we get any feedback.

Robert: Well, you know HnD, there's your web site builder, that's how SPFLite.COM is done. (The whole Website Hnd file is under 2.5 meg)
I looked at and tried all kinds of other Website builders - Ugh! They all rapidly either lock you into simplistic templates that never seem to be what you want, or go the DIY route which has too big a learning curve.

Robert: Why not just take the SPFLite HnD file and bash it into whatever you want? It has all the various pieces to use as "How do I ... ?" items
All you'd need to do is create a couple graphic images to use for page headers etc. and the rest is all basic word-processor text entry and creating a few links for downloads etc. And HnD makes that simple as well.
The HnD file is in the Docs folder located in the downloadable Source.

Guys, Feedback on M- and E-strings .... In short ... I never use them. I quite loved the idea when I first read about it in the documentation, but just never had a need for the practicality. Or, probably more likely, I did have need but as Robert said, I knocked up a macro instead which can often be done more quickly than learning how to use E- & M-Strings elegantly. I find that stuff I don't use regularly always feel tedious when I need to re-learn it for rare occasions. SPFLIte has a lot of features, so it's not surprising that there's quite often more than one way to skin the cat. But when 'skinning' is required, I stick with what I KNOW will deliver results quickly. For instance, I NEVER use NFIND. It seems to do little more than move the cursor. Possibly helpful in a macro as macros don't need to ' see' the results. I do use EXCLUDE (logically the same thing) but always with ALL and it clearly ' shows' me only what I'm after. And NX is quite possibly my most frequently used command, for the same reason. It 'shows' me only what I'm really looking for.
