Robert: Hmm, seems the CHM file is still 2.4, have to check that out.
When the Select topic is presented, just click on the one you want. CANCEL ignores the offered choices and just opens the CHM at the Intro.
Let me check what happened.

Robert: OK, my Oops as to the incorrect CHM file, the PDF is correct. But: 1. I'd never even tried using the arrow keys, I always just left clicked. I'll have to correct that. 2. IXED. I assume you tried to enter HELP FIXED and just slipped. So why the 2nd offering? Would you believe a simple typo in the HnD file Topic ID for "Working with SPFLite". No idea on how, but since I had to re-enter over 300 topic ID's I'm not surprised. 3. The Install file on the website has been corrected, It can be downloaded and re-run, it will simply replace the CHM with the correct one. or Download - Replacement Help FileGeorge

If you say HELP FIXED, where are you seeing IXED. For me it simply opens the CHM file directly at the Fixed Fonts page?
If you say HELP IXED then yes you get the popup dialog.

George: Have same problem because PCmdHelp conatains following code which excutes if HELP is entered with no operand
IF gCmdNumOps = 0 THEN ' No operands?
IF IsFMtab THEN ' If FM, OPEN at Working File Manager
gCmdNumOps = 1: gCmdOps(1) = "IXFM" ' Fudge the KWD
GOTO DoLookup '
ELSE ' Else just Working ...
gCmdNumOps = 1: gCmdOps(1) = "IXED" '
GOTO DoLookup '
END IF '
END IF '
Thanks

MUEH:
Thanks for reinding me of this but ...
AAAArrrrgh! Senility has set in, IXED and IXFM are reserved keywords in the HnD Topic ID. And I totally forgot that when Robert mentioned the IXED and I assumed it was a mistype of FIXED, and went off down the garden path.
I'm going to have to: Restore the IXED keyword in the Hnd File.
Remove the reserved names in the small tool that massages the HnD equate file. This will prevent those from ever being found in a general Help scan.
Robert: If I change the ListView to handle arrow keys and Enter, it means taking away the ability to simply mouse-click on an item to select it. It then means mouse-click AND press Enter to select an item. I'm not too happy with that. I can add a [Proceed] button to be the mouse equivalent of Enter, but you also wanted a bail-out button that didn't even go to help at all.
Man, I wish you had tried this out while we were in Beta mode.
I'm going to just make an editorial decision here, you guys will have to live with it, this is just not worth fussing over.

Robert: I've made the arrow keys work, but I've given up a simple click acting as a "select and proceed".
So now it takes a cursor movement via arrow keys and an Enter.
Or a left-click on an entry and an (Enter or click on Proceed Button).
Don't like this, but it's a compromise, and I want to move on, there is no answer that suits everyone.

Not going to rush out a fix version, I think 2.5 should be left alone for a while to get more experience. The Help problem isn't a big item.

Robert: Sorry if I ever gave you the "I'm ticked off" feeling, not so. I'm just a grumpy old man some days, just ask Linda.
Actually, I'm quite happy with the revised Help handling, I think it's a major improvement. It means a few more steps in packaging (don't REALLY need that, but ...). And it's SO much easier than the manual cross-checking of HnD equates to the keyword list.
We're good.

Robert: A big problem is the way keywords are 'found'.
1. From the HnD Topic ID - the amazing process you described. The problem here is that the Topic ID can only be 32 bytes long.
2. From the Topic Title. No length restriction, but because it is visible to the user, the title still has to 'read' like a title, we can't just jam in some extra random keywords. (Like your EBCDIC)
The problem with a 'not found' can probably be overcome, it should be a matter of looping back to where it would be if NO operands were entered.
And don't forget that Help accepts and handles multiple search keywords.

Next release - a 'not found' search will at least treat it as if NO operands were entered and start you in an appropriate section (Edit or File Manager)

Robert: Yes, that could work, just not sure how much of an annoyance this is to most users.
