Hi George,
Observed using v2.5.21178
The Help document says:
SAVEAS will use all of the Edit data to create a new external file.
However, in practice, a command like SAVEAS abc.txt will only save lines from the current cursor position to the end of the file.
If the cursor is not on line 1, the front part of the file will be missing.
By the way...
v2.5.21178 is the version you asked me to test for Get_Find_Len changes. I can report that GET_FIND_LEN does now return the length of the actual string found. However, be advised that the HELP document states: Returns the length of the last FIND / CHANGE search argument.
I think this is misleading as the length of the "search argument" is not necessarily the same as the length of the returned result string when the "search argument" is a regular expression. Hence the HELP should perhaps state:
Returns the length of the string found by the last FIND / CHANGE search argument.

Stefan: That SAVEAS bug is very nasty, now corrected, but I should get a release out quickly. I'll correct those Doc errors as well.
Many thanks.
George
