I made a new install of SPFLite V2.5.21345 on a Windows 10 Pro Version 20H2 (OS Build 19042.1110) system. After the install is complete, I see the C:\Program Files (x86)\SPFLite2\ directory, but SPFLite2 is not added to the list of Windows apps and the SPFLite2 logo is not added to the desktop. How do I get SPFLite2 added to the Windows apps and the logo added to the desktop?
Thanks for your help, Jim Campbell

Hi Jim, Not sure here. I ran an uninstall of SPFLite2 on my system, and then downloaded and installed it again from the website. All went well, the Desktop Icon was created and the Start Menu items were created.
Is there no SPFLite2 folder in the Start Menu either?
My system is Win10 21H1 but I really don't think the Win version matters, although yours is Win Pro and mine is Win Home.
The desktop Icon is easily created, simply use Explorer to browse to the SPFLite2.EXE file, right-click on it and select "Send to Desktop (Create Shortcut)"
I don't know what you mean by "added to the Windows apps". SPFLite2 is not a Windows store type application.
Hope some of this helps, but I don't really understand what happened.

For what is worth, I just installed SPFLite2 yesterday, having been using SPFLite 10.something previously. I am running Windows 10 Pro 20H2, and it created the desktop icon with the big "2" instead of the "10" that is on the earlier install--which is still there and accessible. It shows as "Recently Added" at the top of the start menu, left side. Adding it to the taskbar or the main start menu is just a couple of clicks.

When SPFLite moved on from the original releases and became SPFLite2.exe the old releases were 'left behind' for the user to remove when they were satisfied that the new version was stable enough. Both versions could co-exist at the same time.
