Hi George,
I'm playing with tags quite a lot recently.
This may be down to out-of-date documentation rather than a code bug. I do recall (but can't seem to find it again) a discussion some months ago, perhaps in the FM context rather than EDIT, about what should and shouldn't be within the scope of RESET ALL
However, I note that the HELP doc for the EDIT contaxt states that RESET ALL ...
"...requests a reset of all the options below except RETRIEVE, LABELS, TAGS and COMMAND and the names of the colors..."
In practice, I note that RESET ALL removes both labels and tags. I'm not bothered that it does this - ALL does mean "everything", afterall. It's just a mismatch with the doc which probably should be fixed.

Stefan: The Doc is faulty. I will get it corrected.
It goes as follows:
RESET with no operands Is ALL minus Retrieve, Label, Tag, Command and Hi-Lite colors. Also minus User if the Options RESET U is false.
RESET ALL Is ALL minus Retrieve.

Robert: How's this: Description The RESET command allows you to clear or reset one or more types of line status. If RESET is entered with no operands: - it performs all the resets triggered by the EXCLUDED, FIND, HANDLE, HIDE, SPECIAL, STATE, USER and WORD operands.
- it does NOT perform resets of COLOR, COMMAND, LABEL, TAGS, RETRIEVE or specific named colors (like RED) If global Options "Default RESET will Revert User Line Status" is not selected, USER will also be skipped.
If RESET ALL is entered: - it performs a reset of all available options except RETRIEVE
i.e. the only way to reset the Retrieve stack, is to explicitely code RETRIEVE as a RESET operand. The ISPF command RESET ERROR is not supported in SPFLite; use of the keyword ERROR is invalid.

Sure - I'll go with reset, after all, that's the command name.
