Suggestion for FM handling of directories

Robert: The labels are kept short for space reasons. Recent = Recent Files -- Paths = Recent Paths. This is described in the Working With File Manager section.

Both are maintained with an LRDate = the time of the last access that updates something in the Recent Files list.

The Recent Files and Recent Paths are updated together, by the same call, the difference is only Files vs Paths.

So all that has to be done to get a path into the "Paths" list is edit any file in that folder. The update of Recent Files will also do the Recent Paths entry. Been that way for a long, long time.

Robert: Call it Suggestions, call it FFT, to me it's the same. When you come down to it, I can't picture an FFT topic which wouldn't have, somewhere in there, an idea which would normally be called a Suggestion.

===> Well, the idea was that FFT was for kicking around ideas that were not completely thought out. I might have something in mind, but not really know how to do it in a way that would work. It might conflict with something else, or be inconsistent, or be too hard, or not solve the problem (or, not solve it well enough), etc. FFT was supposed to let people just "throw the idea out there" and see what happens. I am afraid, the concept didn't "ring" with people. Doomed to failure. Oh well.  R
