Hi
I have a cbl.auto file and want a couple of other types, cpy and def, exactly the same.
How do I do it without creating separate 'auto' files?
The Automatic Colorization Files documentation mentions using '...utilizing the PROFILE command option USING to point at the base, shared profile.', but the PROFILE command does not have a USING option that I can see.
Does this achieve what I want or is there another way?
Thanks
Andy

As a new user you may not have run into this yet, but PROFILE USING has been replaced by a thing called EFT, which means Extended File Types.
Issue a primary command of HELP EXTENDED for more information.

Hi Andy, The USING aspect of PROFILE has recently been superceded by a new 'Extended file type' (EFT) mechanism, which is designed to easily 'map' different file types to sopecific (or the same) SPFLite profile.
First step - If you type EFT on your primary command line, you should see the EFT edit dialog. If you don't see something like the example below, or receive an error message that EFT is not a valid command, I advise you to download and install the latest version of SPFLite from www.spflite.com/
Second step - There's a lot you can do with EFT, but in its simplest form you'll need something like this to make all three file types use the same (in this case CBL) profile: .CBL = CBL .CPY = CBL .DEF = CBL
The files will then also use the same CBL.AUTO file.
Robert - My Apologies. I was interrupted during data entry and our replies overlapped.

Hi
Thanks both - that was painless!
My workplace has locked down the installation of software and I've been using the same version for over two years now. Not an issue, but I thought it was time to get up to date with the latest version. I see you have been busy!
Thanks for a great product.

I had already spotted the error in the Help that still mentioned the old PROF USING and corrected it for the next release.
