I usually have 2 File in my Opnlst.txt, starting with ',' to add them to my initial open files (if not already in the MRF-list). This works fine, except on the first start after a crash or when all tabs are closed on EXIT. I tried a -FILEOPEN Opnlst.txt without comma, or with trailing comma, both did not work when the MRF-list was empty.

Jo: I tried this out, and with a null MRF list, the -F OpenList.TXT style open works fine, with the comma at either end.
I even tried after a crash, it worked fine. (Not so secret: You can always force a crash with the command PLEASE CRASH, ditto for PLEASE LOOP)
Maybe I'm missing something in your description.

George, I did some more tests with -F filelists and with a null MRF list: This list did not work: ,D:\Daten\inArbeit.txt ,D:\Daten\ToDo.txt
But the following list works fine: ,(B)D:\Daten\Rexx\Logs\Sudoku.log ,D:\Daten\Rexx\LstCzSave.rex ,D:\Daten\Rexx\LstMBootU.rex
therefore I tried: ,D:\Daten\inArbeit.txt ,(E)D:\Daten\ToDo.txt and this list did open the ToDo.txt (in EDIT), but ignored the first file.
So I think, as soon as there is an explicit (E/B/V) request, the fileopen will work. Jo

Jo: OK thanks - a clue. I'm pretty sure my test all had an (E) present. I'll chase it again.

[UPDATE]
OK, found and fixed. Opening up the MRF style file to users (the -F file) means a bit more careful parsing. Previously the MRF was built internally only, so there was never anything unexpected. Basically, a dumb error.
