From the documentation it would appear that (BackTab) is simply (Tab) in reverse. But the way it is behaving is to jump to the beginning of the previous line.

Benjamin, if you have not defined and enabled tabs, then BackTab has no other "stopping point" other than the beginning of the previous line. That is normal behavior.
