R60: Another one to look at. I've had root access problems before, they're a real pain as you have to fiddle parameters somewhat. $&%$&^% inconsistent API. Many thanks for documenting things so perfectly. If only all bug reports were done so well. Usually all I get is "Rename has a problem".

George: see it 'a matter of course'. In the past I was internally the 'last' level support and it's me to stay in contact with all the IBM guys from z/OS problem determination and software lab (opening PMR's etc.). So, this is nothing compared to what they want - but I think you know...

Robert: I did your COPY... command under Windows Command prompt and it works very well.
All the computers I report problems for SPFLite are my private computers. I have some user's on them, but take notice that I use a user with ADMIN privilege during my SPFLite testing.
May be that my phrase 'root' was wrong, because it applies (more) to a Unix/Linux/whatever X environment. For Windows I like to tell you, that the file is within the path "Drive Letter:\" and not covered by an additional directory/folder.
But on the other hand... Follow my description - do it by your own - and if you don't get into this problem, tell me.
Looking forward to your reply...

R60: Robert: Well, it wasn't permissions causing the problem. It was simply that changing directories to the root doesn't like a null string, it wants a "\".
Corrected in the next release.
