I have upgraded to 8.4.6153 and discovered an error. In FM I type c:\dirname\*.txt and get c:\dirname\*.txt\ back when I press <enter>. I noticed the upgrade fixes mention adding the trailing \ for consistency. Did I find a bug or was that the original intent? Thx.

iprefer432: This is a matter of interpretation I guess. The FM Path line was never meant to be a path/filemask field, just the path.
i.e. your request would be a path of C:\dirname\ and the file mask would be *.txt.
The reasoning here is because the file mask field in SPFLite is much more powerful than the simple Windows style file mask.
e.g. File Mask: aa*.txt;bb*.txt;cc*.txt;-*bak.txt
to get all files that match aa*.txt, or bb*.txt or cc*.txt but ignoring any ending in bak.txt.
The recent change in effect just reinforced the requirement for the path to be just that, a path only.

George,
I understand what you mean. I did as you said and it works as expected. You cleaned up some code and I got caught. "Been there. Done that."

iprefer432: Glad you understand. Yes, we've all been through that "well - the old way was better!" feeling as software we use evolves. Like ISPF when they imposed all that CUA crap, with pull-down menus etc - on a 3270! Still gives me the willies.
