D'OH!!!! UPDATE... I just found RLOCFIND which does EXACTLY this. How is it I've never noticed this before?
Thank you George for your forethought and planning and thank you Robert for requesting a CURSOR / CSR options for FIND ina previous suggestion.
You have a happy user here!
Suggestion: RFIND syntax to change to RFIND [ PREV | NEXT ] Optionally you could include FIRST and LAST also.
Reason: There is presently no way to reverse the current FIND operation 'exactly' without re-typing it in full.
The command "F * PREV" only finds the same 'search-string' but loses any other arguments specified on the original FIND command, e.g. column or line limits, etc.
Usage:
At present PF5 is RFIND. This remains unchanged to repeat most recent FIND command 'exactly' SHFT+PF5 can become RFIND NEXT (repeat most recent FIND command 'exactly' but searching forwards) CTRL+PF5 can become RFIND PREV (repeat most recent FIND command 'exactly' but searching backwards)
With luck, this shouldn't be hard to do.

Thank Robert for RLOCFIND - his idea. He thinks -- I code. (And it was actually quite hard to do)
