Robert: It probably wouldn't take much to do this. My preference would be to collapse multiple lines into a single line. I don't want two options.
Comments from others?

Hi Guys,
I can see the value, but isn't that capability effectively already available via the X/NX support?
George, I'd say you offer to 'shrink' blocks of multiple blank lines into a single blank line.
If someone wants to exclude ALL blank lines, it can easily be achieved by... NX ALL P'¬' followed by ... DIFF command with the options to 'ignore eXcluded lines'.

Stefan Yes, an exclude would also do it, but its a fairly simple option to add.

Robert Good thinking! I've not dabbled with ALIAS use thus far - still struggling to remember all the enhancements over IBM's ISPF/PDF. And in some instances, SPFLite offer several ways of getting a job done. I think this dog is bit to old to learn ALL the new tricks

I think I'll try and squeeze in the collapse blank lines to 1 blank line version. Together with the compress strings of blanks I think that's enough options.
If X/NX is also selected, the collapse will be done AFTER the X/NX filtering.
