Well, I hadn't even gotten to the forum here to put up a notice about the release of V8.0 when I started getting reports of a crash on the initial run.
So I took the safest action and withdrew it quickly till I can figure out what's going on. My apologies to any of you who were disrupted by this problem.
Both Robert and I had installed and run V8.0 for quite a while with no problems like this, but Murphy is always lurking.
I haven't yet delved into it, but my thinking is that it will be in the routine that looks after migrating the .FILELIST files to the new .FLIST format. This happens automatically on the first run without intervention. Obviously this had run once on Robert's and my systems and never had to run again. And somewhere since then it got mucked up.
We'll be back for another try once this gets corrected.

OK, the Duh! error has been found. Testing out a new component, and then restructuring for other new stuff, proved a killer. The one-time routine ended up being called before some data area it depended on was initialized. Since Robert and my systems had gone through the migration when it was working, it never really ran again and thus never failed (for us). Live and learn.
I'll re-release again after the weekend.

Hi, Well V8 is back out there. I'm sure there will be some niggles and bugs appear, it was a pretty major internal revision. I'll try and correct these as fast as I can, we'll get there.
