MUEH: Too many revisions messing up prior working code. The dynamic overrides of Profile variables was NOT as straightforward as it initially appeared.
Corrected, I'll post the corrected Beta.

I downloaded beta 23.242A and tried using L. to add line counts in a folder. I got the message that L. was not a valid command. I assume that you have a pending beta where this was added.
For laughs, I tried doing L/ instead. I got a crash. Here is the crash report:
SPFLite V(3.0.23242) @ 2023-09-01 11:45 SPFLite has encountered an execution exception (C0000005) Last Interactions were: P=RC _Macros K=ENTER K=BACKSPACE K=ENTER P=END Module Back Trace: 02 DOPENDINGTABDELETES 01 DOCMDINOTHERTAB 00 REALPBMAIN ---
When I restarted 242A, all of the files got line counts assigned. So, something must have happened AFTER the line-count function was applied to all of them.

Robert: Yes the . , .. stuff will be in the next Beta. I didn't try with 242A (don't keep old ones around, I'd have to fetch off backups) but the latest test version had no trouble, no crashes etc.
Lets wait for the next Beta and see if it's still failing.

Maybe the crash was just a fluke? That does happen at times, with unreproducible bugs; very annoying BTW.

Annoying? You bet. Try debugging stuff when you can't make it fail like the user's experience. Staring at code paths and hoping you can spot some 'quirk' that might have caused it is no fun either.
